Bio

Ornella and Álex began their career as dance partners in 2016.

Both come from different but complementary backgrounds: Álex, a former professional handball player, brings discipline and teamwork, while Ornella, a world salsa champion in Puerto Rico, has a solid training in salsa acquired in Venezuela. From the very first moment their connection and desire to work together allowed them to quickly stand out in national and international congresses.

Throughout 8 years of career, they have combined their work as partners with regular classes in León and Asturias, as well as forming amateur, pro-am and professional companies. They have also organized important salsa and bachata congresses. Despite their success, they have never stopped training, learning from great masters to continue improving their technique and remain at the forefront of their discipline.

Trayectoria

Ornella:

International dancer with more than 20 years of experience in the Latin dance world.

Three-time Venezuela Salsa Open champion.

Bachata national runner-up in the group category in Málaga (2019).

Third position in the National Bachata Fusion Championship in group category in Salamanca (2023).

Second position in the Open couple category. National Championship BS Spain (2025).

She has participated in television programs on national and international channels.

Dancer in video clips of the group Los Ilegales with Sixto Rein and Gustavo Elis.

Principal dancer in concerts of major artists such as Cheo Feliciano, Los Adolescentes, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Oscar de León, among others.

She has been part of Latin dance congresses, giving workshops and performing shows in countries such as Italy, France, Portugal, Sweden, Poland, Hungary, Cuba, as well as on tour in Asia and the United States.

Director of the Alma Brava project.

With an extensive international career, she continues to be an influential figure and a reference in the Latin dance world.

Alex:

Directors of the Academia Mambo, where they offer regular classes of salsa, bachata, Cuban salsa and girl’s style. Their classes are aimed at groups of all levels, from beginners to advanced, both in León and Asturias.

Thanks to their experience and continuous training, they provide quality teaching adapted to the needs of each student, promoting an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
